Lip Plastic Surgery

Celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Kylie Jenner and Bella Thorne have made fuller lips a new trend. But there are many different methods and procedures for having a fuller, plumper lips. The decision comes down to the type of lip enhancement you want.

Lip fillers

There are many different types of lip fillers available, including Juvederm, Restylane, Voluma, and Perlane. Your doctor will assess your lips during your consultation and take pictures of your facial symmetry. Deciding which lip filler is best for you depends on what you're looking for.

Lip Implants

These will give you the most permanent result. It's important to go to a doctor for a consultation before deciding on a size. The first step is to sterilize the area of your lips with anesthetic. Now, wait for the numbness. Once it takes effect, a surgeon can make an incision in each corner of your mouth and insert the implant and place it under the lip fat and above the lip muscles. Once the implant is in place, the incisions will be closed up with one or two non-absorbable stitches.

Fat Transfer

Fat transfer is accomplished by using your own fat cells, which are taken from places on your body where you have excess tissue. The two most popular types of lip augmentation are autologous and fat transfer. Autologous lip augmentation involves taking fat cells from a different part of your body and injecting them into your lips.

Fat Grafting

There is another and the other is where a person's own skin is used. When the second type is used, our specialized surgeon removes some of your own skin from your lower stomach and sometimes from a C-section scar. The skin is then cut and used to make the lips look fuller. Sometimes, lip augmentation can even be done with skin from facelift surgery.
